Initially, the family envisioned rounded forms and a grand entrance with columns and extensive glazing. Ultimately, however, they opted for a sleek, modern flat-roofed building that blends seamlessly into its surroundings. The integration of the veranda and balcony into the overall structure, achieved through continuous roof beams and a supporting column, is architecturally striking. The airy roof opening allows natural light to flood the space, lending the building a sense of lightness and spaciousness.
The homeowner placed particular emphasis on fully automated, well-connected home automation. "I think it's essential for a modern house; it increases comfort and resale value," he argues. In addition to standard functions like shading, lighting, ventilation, and heating, the system also integrates video surveillance, the alarm and multimedia systems, and all the kitchen electronics. "I can access the system anytime, anywhere in the world, via iPad or iPhone," the homeowner explains. A passionate music lover, he also had acoustic ceilings installed throughout the house, which enhance the listening experience.
A highlight of the house's interior is the floating wooden staircase, its steps embedded in the wall on one side and secured by a continuous glass wall on the other. This design gives the staircase a particularly light and elegant appearance. Sculpturally positioned, it takes center stage in the ground floor living area. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are arranged openly around it. The kitchen is very spacious, featuring a stainless steel countertop and high-quality modern appliances. A pantry provides additional storage space for supplies and kitchen utensils. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer unobstructed views of the mountains. A wide veranda extends from the living area, bordering a large lawn. A low stone wall forms the boundary, beyond which stretches unobstructed farmland. The garden design is tailored to the needs of their two preschool children. "The lawn is practical for them. They can play and run around on it," says the homeowner. He and his wife also spend a lot of time outdoors.
Master suite with integrated bathroom. Also located on the ground floor are the entrance area with a walk-in closet and a guest toilet with shower. Upstairs, the family's private rooms are arranged around a fifteen-square-meter gallery with a seating area. This is the homeowner's favorite spot. The two daughters each have a spacious children's room, decorated in girly pink and violet. They share a bathroom with a shower and whirlpool tub. The parents have created a tranquil retreat with a sleeping area, dressing room, and integrated bathroom. All rooms have spacious built-in wardrobes with LED lighting that switches on automatically when the wardrobes are opened. A large covered balcony with a loggia extends from the master suite.
