A cozy space miracle
The desire for their own home was strong. So was their skepticism, as the family had many questions at the start of the building project. What should the house look like? Would their wishes be fulfilled? And would the costs stay within the agreed budget? We were quickly able to dispel these uncertainties and transparently explain our services. We had just the right building plot for this young family. The sunny location immediately won them over; it was somewhat removed from city life, yet still offered good shopping facilities nearby. The proximity to the schools, which the two children could easily reach independently, was also a significant factor.
“We really wanted a pitched roof, but unfortunately the local council wouldn’t allow it,” says the homeowner. So they opted for a flat roof, as it suits the modern character of the cube-shaped house just as well. The detached house perfectly embodies the desire for clean lines and simple lines. Large windows also flood every room with natural light. The ground floor features an open-plan living concept. While the kitchen is designed as a separate unit, it flows seamlessly into the dining area via a large opening. The consistent flooring throughout enhances the inviting atmosphere, which extends to the comfortable seating area. In the warmer months, the family can open the large, floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the garden, effectively expanding their living space. A modern louvered roof provides excellent protection from direct sunlight for the outdoor seating area. A separate room, suitable as an office or guest room, and a shower room complete the layout on this floor.
The square floor plan allows for optimal room organization on the upper floor, which is divided into four equally sized areas. The bathroom and the stairwell with its landing occupy one quarter of this space. The three bedrooms are accessible from a central point and offer the parents and children ample space and individual retreats. In retrospect, the residents are very happy with
the flat roof, as the rooms appear larger without sloping ceilings. Throughout the entire construction, particular emphasis was placed on high-quality materials. This was important to the family. The homeowners were also able to rely on our many years of experience with the building services, which are housed in the basement. "Absolutely all our wishes were fulfilled," the residents rejoice. "We are incredibly, incredibly happy!"
