Insights into the project

Project description

Home with Mediterranean flair

Building a house is a matter of trust. The family found the perfect plot of land in Tägerig, and the timing for embarking on this new chapter of their lives was ideal. In Aargau, where the grandparents live nearby and the homeowner's workplace is within easy reach, they wanted to lay not only the foundation for their home but also for their two children's schooling. At their new location, a house with Mediterranean style elements has been built. The color of the facade, the roof with its dormer window, and the stones on the slope are reminiscent of southern European architecture. "We also had a few special requests. For example, we made our garage wider and extended the front yard," says the homeowner. This gives the children more space to play outdoors, as the property doesn't have a large garden. There's still plenty of room for a comfortable outdoor seating area, and the balcony on the top floor offers a magnificent
view of the surrounding countryside. Inside, the well-designed floor plan is impressive, providing ample space for a family. The house is accessed via the entrance in the basement at street level or via the convenient access from the garage. The basement also houses the building services and provides additional storage space. The family center and heart of the house is a large living and dining area with an open-plan kitchen and access to the small garden on the ground floor. A further room, suitable for an office that also serves as a guest room, a small storage room near the kitchen, and a shower room complete this floor. The two children's bedrooms are located on the upper floor to the left and right of the staircase. The sloping ceilings, clad in white wood paneling and extending to the gable, create a cozy atmosphere on the top floor. In the master bedroom, a partition wall creates a niche for the wardrobe, effectively making it a small walk-in closet. The parents have their own entrance to the bathroom. A walk-in shower and a double vanity offer plenty of comfort in this spa-like space. A second door from the entryway allows the children to also use the large corner bathtub in the bathroom.

The fact that the family feels completely at home is also due to our consultation. Because we take the time to assess the site conditions for our clients and find suitable solutions, we can identify and mitigate potential problems early on. This was also the case at the beginning of the construction project, when the subsoil turned out to be too sandy. "That threw us off a bit at first," the homeowner admits. We were able to address the homeowners' concerns and build additional slope stabilization. The move-in date was on schedule, and the first day at kindergarten was a day of joy.

Feedback from F. & S., Bottenwil

"We greatly appreciated the transparent and solution-oriented communication. We would build with Atmoshaus AG again."
