Pleasant atmosphere

When their second child was on the way, the young family wanted to look for an existing house. However, our range of house ideas was so appealing that they decided to take the step of building their own home.
When their second child was born, the couple and their daughter were living in a semi-detached house with a magnificent view over Lake Lucerne. To allow the children and parents more space and freedom, they longed for a larger home. The house was to be situated in a child-friendly and natural setting.
Our house designs, which the young family had previously viewed, proved convincing. "We wanted it bright and cozy, and both we and our children should feel comfortable in our own home. We're avoiding unnecessary frills and value a limited selection of colors and materials." The owner of a hair salon is certainly not lacking in creativity. She also gathered many ideas from magazines, which she presented to the site manager. He listened to her wishes and implemented them.
Clean lines yet cozy – not all their wishes could be fulfilled on the first attempt. The couple has saved the pool for later, but wisely had the necessary connections installed. A conservatory or pergola is also planned for later. This allowed them to invest in the renovation of the 6.5-room house, which features a shed roof.
The walls are made of brick with external insulation. The shed roof is partially covered with a vegetation layer for green roofing and blends harmoniously into the surrounding green landscape. An air-to-water heat pump provides heating. The entire house has underfloor heating. The entrance area with a guest WC flows seamlessly into the spacious dining and living room, separated only by an exposed concrete wall that provides some privacy. Behind this partition in the living area are the fireplace and television.
The white of the textured walls and kitchen, along with the use of wood, defines the interior of the house. All the floors are covered in light oak, reflecting the couple's preference for a cozy yet minimalist style. An oak staircase leads from the living area to the upper floor. At the top of the stairs, to the left is an office, and to the right is the entrance to the master suite, comprising a bedroom, en-suite bathroom, and dressing room. The master bedroom exudes an almost meditative atmosphere. The two children's bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are located on the west side of the house.
Just one year after moving into the house, the clients informed us that they would build with us again as their general contractor.
