Robust with a cozy living feel

The family of four was initially looking for an existing house. However, when they came across the undeveloped building plot with its guaranteed unobstructed panoramic views over Aarburg, their opinion changed dramatically: they wanted to embark on the adventure of building a new, custom-designed detached house with us as their general contractor. The plot in the heart of Switzerland seemed ideal for the young family. The children don't have far to go to school, and despite the quiet location, public transport and the motorway are just around the corner.

In this 6.5-room house with a pitched roof, residents can enjoy plenty of natural light on both the ground and upper floors. The owners wanted robust materials with a homely feel inside, in addition to natural lighting. This is achieved through the porcelain stoneware floors with a parquet look.
The fireplace, which serves as a room divider and is visible from both the dining and living areas, further emphasizes the warm and inviting atmosphere.
The mud-colored kitchen with its wood-look island also complements the chalet-chic style. The earthy tones and warm textures of the materials used in the overall design concept continue on the upper floor, extending to the bedrooms and bathrooms. With a spacious bathtub and a walk-in shower, the family has created their own personal wellness retreat.

But the basement also has a lot to offer, boasting two further highlights. Firstly, a wine cellar has been created there, made possible by the full basement of the detached house. Secondly, the basement contains another heated room, which can be used as a playroom for children or a hobby room for adults.

The crowning touch of the building project was the garden pond – a wish of the homeowners. The small body of water creates an idyllic atmosphere in the garden and, together with the sunny location of the house, eliminates any longing for distant places. The owners' decision to build with Atmoshaus AG as their general contractor has proven worthwhile. The family feels very comfortable in their newly created home.
