Project description

Open architecture on three levels

A short walk to school, nearby shopping facilities, and a child-friendly, quiet location: these weren't the deciding factors, but they were very important. What primarily convinced the family with three children was the value for money. We also had a suitable plot of land available that met all the aforementioned criteria. The clients had long cherished the dream of owning their own home. As a trained heating engineer, the homeowner wanted to help with the plumbing, heating, plastering, and kitchen installation, as well as lay the parquet and tiles himself. We respect such owner-provided services and ensure a smooth process.

The modern architecture, with its extensive use of glass, offers unobstructed views of the landscape and floods the house with natural light. Openness and transparency are defining characteristics of the house on all three floors. The generous living space is particularly noticeable on the ground floor, where living, dining, and kitchen areas flow seamlessly together.
The family loves to gather there, not only because of the modern kitchen and bright dining area. A fireplace, its flames visible from three sides, also creates a cozy atmosphere in the seating area. The staircase is positioned to screen the entrance hall with its practical built-in wardrobe and guest WC, while simultaneously providing open access to the other floors. The basement offers ample space for building services, as well as utility and storage.
Each of the three children has their own bright room on the upper floor. They share a shower room, accessible from a small landing. The parents have created their own private retreat on the top floor. While one side of the house houses the master bedroom with direct access to the bathroom, the other side features a spacious roof terrace. Between these two areas, the family has created a small studio apartment. This way, the whole family can enjoy the view of the landscape both indoors and out. Another favorite spot is the garden with its secluded seating area, directly accessible from the living room. When the patio door is open, the living space expands considerably, which the three children especially enjoy when playing. The parents are also delighted that the house fits their lifestyle so perfectly and allows them to embrace this open-plan living space.
